Choosing the Positive
It has been proven that positive and negative thoughts greatly affect the human being. Therefore, our thoughts affect our body and in turn we are affecting our health. So when we choose to let what other people say affect us then we let our health be affected. Negative and positive communication affects our body’s health.
When a negative thought enters the mind it is then that we need to take action and replace the negative thought with a positive one. Having a few favorite words, quotes, or stories memorized in advance, for this specific purpose, will help to quickly replace the negative thought with a positive thought.
The days that I am consciously thankful for things small and large, either spoken to my family or silently said in my heart, I remember being very happy. On these days I was practically wearing a smile the whole day, which can be very contagious. Though that wouldn’t be so bad would it? A smile from a family member can communicate so much without even saying a word.
Nonverbal communication happens all the time even while we’re talking with each other. We are constantly sending out positive and negative signals with our body language. So it’s not only our thoughts and words that have an effect, but it is also our actions. Just remember, to be healthy you need to start by thinking healthy and this will begin to manifest in the way you communicate with your family.

It truly is a choice we can make to be positive, for me it’s not always easy with the way I was brought up, yet I can change that and reroute my thinking…it will take time to establish this new way of working on problems, but it does work. Thank you for your articles, they are informative and inspiring…
Hello Tammie, thanks for taking the time to let me know how this article has helped you. Changing something, like our thoughts from negative to positive takes time. Sometimes when I embark on a new goal I’ll tell my family and close friends that I trust, so that they can help me.
